Sending Mr Alta Vista off on a hippie, surfy, western road-trip show as night-time DJ returns to the blinding daylight hours.
On a recent conversation w. Richard on Sneezy Waters, I mentioned that I first saw Sneezy w. Perth County Conspiracy at the Adult High School ( then Commerce ) and he said he was unfamiliar with this commune of talented individuals. So here is a primer for him and the listeners
| Perth County Conspiracy formed in Toronto in the late 60's with the duo of Cedric Smith and Richard Keelan adding guitarist Terry Jones, bassist Michael Butler, and George Taros on piano they recorded and self released lp. While the lp went nowhere they were a good live draw and soon Columbia released 2 lps, Does Not Exist in 1970 and the double live recording Alive in 1971.

| After being dropped by Columbia in 1972 they continued with self-releases on their own Rumour label. Guitarist Terry Jones left the group and Bob Burchill was added to the mix. The What School Bus Tour later to be released as simply Rumour was released 1973 from recordings live in Ottawa, Sudbury and Winnipeg. This was followed up by Breakout to Berlin in 1975. Richard Keelan still performs today along with his daughter and Cedric Smith would go the acting route winning a Gemini for his role in Road to Avonlea, but for others he is the voice of Professor X in the X-Men animated series, |
