New album SHINE ON out March 1st, 2019

https://poltz.com/

“I was in Nashville having lunch with a friend. It was a Wednesday,” says Poltz about the track. “The lady rang up my sandwich and said “that’ll be 7 dollars and 67 cents.” I handed her a crisp hundred dollar bill and she looked at it and said “ooooh ballin on a Wednesday!” I said “did you just say ‘ballin on a Wednesday?’” She said “uh huh”. She had a beautiful gold tooth. It was awesome. Right at that moment I started writing that song. My pal Anthony Da Costa called me up and said “whatcha doin?” I said “writing a song called Ballin on a Wednesday.” He said “oh man, I want in on this. I’ll be right over.”

Jeremi Dutcher - Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa Canadian
Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa is the debut album by Canadian composer and tenor, Jeremy Dutcher – which involves post-classical rearrangement of his Wolastoq First Nation traditional music. Granted access to the Canadian Museum of History, Jeremy discovered wax cylinders from 1907 of his ancestors singing forgotten songs and stories that had been taken from the Wolastoqiyik Nation generations ago. The album is Jeremy’s contribution to his heritage and community in attempts to revitalize the Wolastoq language to the world, which has less than 100 speakers alive today. This collection of ground breaking post-classical arrangements is truly one of a kind and recalls the mood of Rufus Wainwright's operatic performance or the haunting pop of Anthony & The Johnsons.

Peterborough-born, Hamilton-based singer/songwriter Dave McEathron is primarily known as the driving force behind the Warped 45s, a Toronto roots-rock combo that deserved a better fate for the two superb albums they released almost a decade ago.

He returns to the fray with a second solo album that reaffirms he is a major talent. The release is actually two CDs, the folk-rock based Abandoned Companions and an EP titled The Abandoned Companions Companion Piece that is more roots-rock in sound.
