Leading up to CKCU's 35th anniversary in November, the Wednesday (Humpday) version of Special Blend will feature biweekly interviews with media/broadcasting personalities and professionals who had their start at CKCU. To begin the biweekly series, this Wednesday, September 22nd, 'tic' and Patricia (your hosts), will be interviewing a behind-the-scenes legend in TV news broadcasting, Al Mackay. Al has made significant contributions to the industry over his 40 year career. Apart from his community contributions and numerous awards, Al was the VP and Station Manager at CTV Ottawa for 10 years, General Manager at CPAC, and now a broadcasting and communications consultant.
