This year, because I can, I am making a donation to CKCU. Because I cant spread-pledge, I am writing this note. I know that only comes put to $10 a show, and I will try to donate more at the end*. Believe me, if I had it, I would donate The entire $175,000!!! CKCU is 50% of my life, my cats are the rest :). CKCU is my family and friends. It is the only radio station where an eclectic music junkie like me can get his fix! And share with others on the interactive too!!! Hi Shirley.. I did plan on spread pledging and wanted to have them in all boxes for hosts who have straongly impacted me and I never miss. The plan was to have them all completed before launch date so those hosts would have a kickstart. I managed to get 11 donations done, but 3 came back with unexplained issues. Today, I was advised that I could expect more issues if I made another wave of donations. So I am taking a page out of the Book of Bobby. For the remainder of my "Fridge List" I am going to put them all into one last pladge on Nov.1 or 2. Outstanding pledges include Shirley's Corner (the first pledge I made this year), Reggae in The Fields, Island Earth, Worldwide, Roots 'n Rythmn, Whatever's Cool With Me, David Dalle, Saturday Morning, Off The Charts, Swing Is In The Air. To encourage others to explore some of my favourite shows (as Bobby says), the other shows I supported already were Inside Jazz, Daydream Frequencies (support a rookie", Stranger Songs, Renny's Riot, Upstairs Neighbour, Studio J Jukebox, Friday Drive, Candyshop, Friday Drive again lol, Not For Radio. Every show is unique on CKCU and wortth listening to and supporting.. I have deep reapect for all of our precious volunteer hosts and those behind the scenes. Thank you for your passion and The Music!
