I first met Willie Dunn at the Montreal Folk Workshop, circa 1971 or '72, and last saw him in 2009 when we did a workshop together at the Apple Hollow Folk Festival in Quebec in 2009. He wrote and sang many remarkable songs.

Mike, Willie was a visionary and spoke of things that others didn't which is why he was not known in Canada. They tried to stop him from speaking about "Indians", but he didn't sell out.
