Music For A While
Wednesday March 2nd, 2022 with David Cavlovic
Having a Vanda-full time

This February we just survived felt like it lasted for two years never mind Covid! We are living in very strange, and somewhat worrying, times. For an hour at least let's try to calm our nerves with music by Dvořák, Fibich, and Schubert. We can always count on music, just as much as we count IN music....ok, I'll shut up now.
Antonín Dvořák: Vanda (Overture), Op. 25
BBC Philharmonic Orchestra; Stephen Gunzenhauser, conductor - Dvořák: Overtures - Naxos
Zdenék Fibich: Nálady, Dojmy, a Upomínky (Moods, Impressions, and Souvenirs), Op. 41, Book IV, #14: Poem
Antonín Kubálek, piano - Czech Miniature Masterpieces - Dorian Recordings Canadian
Franz Schubert: Piano Trio No. 1 in B-flat Major, D. 898
The Rembrandt Trio: Gerard Kantarjian, violin; Coenraad Bloemendal, ‘cello; Valerie Tryon, piano - Mendelssohn/Schubert: Piano Trios - Dorian Recordings Canadian
I. Allegro moderato
II. Andante un poco mosso
III. Allegro. Scherzo
IV. Allegro Vivace. Rondo
