A little late posting this one. Had a really good one set up to pay tribute to one of the greatest front persons in punk and hardcore, the legendary Gary Floyd of Dicks. But stupid me decided to add a few things in "tribute" to Steve Albini who also recently passed away. He did record one of my favourite albums by the Pixies. So I revamped the episode. I don't really know that much about Albini, but wow, he had a few sketchy bands/band names. Extreme edgelord stuff. He is also a total pedophile, and has talked about it in zines and tour diaries. A lot of people chalk it up to him just being an "edgelord" in the 80's and 90's, but pretty damn gross if you ask me. Anyway, I did play some Big Black (one of his bands) and a few things he recorded including Pixies, Flour and Blatant Dissent. But more importantly I kick the episode off with some Dicks, and a few other 1980s Texas hardcore and punk bands such as Big Boys, MDC, and Really Red. I ended the episode with some 1980s midwest USHC including Die Kreuzen, Mecht Mensch, Zero Boys, and Circle Seven. Gonna do a proper tribute to Gary Floyd in the future
