Wow What a collection of original finds, far from all the obvious "sun" folk songs I would think of ;). Only from the Caretaker of Folk. I am just a mere mortal

What a fantastic rendition of "Sunny Side of the Street" by Jay McShann. I am just loving this show, Mike. What a treat on a very sunny day working in my yard and garden. As always, my friend, "You Be 'Da Man" !!

Loved that version, Mike! Wish I had your collection to enjoy every cover of that song. But, hey.......we have You to share with we mere mortals, as Bobby said. Thanks!

Jay McShann was one of the all-time greats. I got to have him as a guest on my radio show in Montreal in 2003 when he came to play at the Montreal Jazz Festival.

I was singing along to "We'll Sing In The Sunshine"" out in the yard between the rose gardens and hummingbird feeders with Drake tapping his paw to the music laying in the grass. I think I scared off my little hummingbirds lol. Such a perfect playlist on such a perfect afternoon for this show. You really are related to Houdini, me thinks!!

Man I miss going to the Montreal Jazz Festival. Drake is going to be 14 soon and I want to spend every minute with him so it limits my going to live shows and festivals. But that festival is one of the festivals I miss the most. Forget the year, but I remember seeing 2 of my idols that year........Tony Bennet and Al Jareau..Both shows incredibly memorable amonst years of fine artists!!
