The theme for this edition of Stranger Songs is "Remembering Bill Staines (1947-2021)." Bill was a folksinger, a songwriter, a colleague and an old friend who died on December 5, 2021 from an aggressive cancer at age 74.

Mike, what a wonderful show and tribute. I wish I'd known/known of Bill Staines. In my missing years I missed a lot. But I plan on making up for it by sourcing as much of his music as I can. This is one show I'll keep bookmarked for future listening - especially for the yodelling! My condolences on the loss of your friend.
