Hi Chris, I love these travels back in time. Did I hear a little trace of In A White Room in the first song on tonight’s show? Did I imagine it?

I was introduced to Billy Cobham’s music through CKCU—and other jazz fans, too.

Interesting question Shelley, I hadn't noticed.... I'll have a closer listen in the morning. Oh, it already is!

This Cobham album opened a lot of doors for me and I still enjoy it.

Hi Terry, I noticed that the opening note is also the opening sound on the station i'd s "Other Side Of The Coin". I think I might recognise a certain voice too, Terry :-)

I will have to listen to Safe From Harm — really interesting how one song becomes a part of another. Thanks for pointing that out.

Hi Chris, yes, you’re absolutely right about the “other side of the coin” ID, no one else has ever mentioned that to me

Hi Terry, thanks for confirming. That's what made those station i.d.s so interesting: fragments of pieces to provide the perfect sound backdrop for the i'd's text. And that expression "The Other Side Of The Coin" summed it all up perfectly, and so succinctly too. :-)
