Love these Time Warp shows. I don’t think I was tuned in that night. Back then, shows vanished as soon as the announcer signed off. Speaking of Time Warps, may I highly recommend a series of videos that long-time CKCU listeners will enjoy. As part of our 50th celebrations, the Rewind series on YouTube is a fun look-back at CKCU’s history. I watched some of the series, from 1984 and 1985–my, how time flies.

Were you in any of them? You weren’t speaking so I wasn’t sure if you were featured in any of them. I loved hearing all those voices—it was helpful when the announcer said who they were. Some voices had really changed over the years, and others stayed pretty much the same. I loved hearing all those old ads and I could see some of the ‘vintage’ equipment, too. It was very interesting.

For us announcers it's a bit like looking at an album of photos of ourselves that we either didn't know existed or had forgotten about in the mists of time. * Shelley I may not have seen them all yet, I don't remember being filmed. I can be briefly spotted (just about) in at least one of them.

Chris I: Actually, no, the vintage show promos and station i'd. are a bit misplaced, time-wise. But the cuts are all from that show. Rocky's B Sides show was around 1984-85 ish. Coincxidentally Tuesdays at 10 pm. It was succeeded by "The Sixties" with Steve Schijns, who introduced the show to the station. (That's for another time).
