Good evening everyone Our show this evening revolves some of the artists that I played on one of my weekly shows back in August 1985. And of those artists there are several that you'll hear more than once tonight, as we take a quick listen to what they'd also recorded before or since that show.

Yikes, that was 39 years ago! What was I doing back then? Probably working with Adapted Recreation at a day camp for kids with disabilities. So much fun.

I remember this song. Living on Video—how to believe that so much time has elapsed. I feel old (smile).

And probably listening to CKCU, too, Shelley. In fact I'm sure you were! ;-)

Wow, a whole other side of The Emotions! I remember hearing Living For City when I was about 12 years old—I was really captivated by that song—its lyrics and the anger in Stevie Wonder’s voice - conveys a lot of emotion.

That vignette in the middle of the song still gets me really MAD! Even to this day.

Intruder—one of Peter Gabriel’s best. Colleen should be listening!

Same here Shelley, and its inclusion on the album would have taken a lot of casual chart listeners completely by surprise if they'd heard it. And I doubt if many people would recognise the vignette if it was played in isolation of its parent song.

I think that I would have “…. Wow, New York, just like I pictured it…..sky scrapers and ev’ry thang!” Stevie Wonder is really creative.

That whole work, Passion, by Peter Gabriel, is incredible! A Different Drum is one of my favourites. Running Up That Hill appears on quite a few of my treadmill playlists. (Obvious, but it’s a good song).

Thanks for the walk down memory lane—great way to end the show as I heard Hangover on CKCU—and, an interview with Kim Mitchell, too. Great show as always!!!

Thanks Shelley, Max Webster used to get played a lot on Friday nights here too, especially after 10pm with Max Bruin. (He followed my other weekly show that aired between 9-10pm, but that's a whole other Bedtime Story!)
