I often wish I could be there live again, AKA Frank. If I was in/near Ottawa this evening it would feel weird not presenting live from the studio. So, as in days of old, tonight I'd be looking at heading home from Carleton afterwards when it's something like -8, with a long trudge through the snow back to the car. Hmm... Actually, on reflection, maybe at this time of the year it's preferable to be far, far away, up with owl, in the warm and dry and listening to the rain hammering down outside whilst chatting here online here.. I certainly hope this edition will be one worth you staying up late for Frank. :-)

Hi Chris i too have committed to staying up to hear the show. As you can imagine, your post-show ‘trudge’ would be longer now than in days of old—oh, and throw in a changing landscape due to CONSTANT construction on campus.

Oh yes—I got to stay up to see the great walk on the moon in July 1969. We were also allowed to stay up on Friday nights with our parents to watch Montey Python’s Flying Circus—fun times for sure.

Yeah, we could watch it with their guidance and when they felt we were old enough—my Dad was from England—part of our cultural heritage I guess. I still have that very dark sense of humour (smile).
