This evening's edition of Bedtime Stories is the first Funding Drive show we've produced since the programme made its debut in December 2020. And tonight's edition is the only one that airs during this year's Funding Drive. If you've enjoyed any of the editions we'd love to receive a pledge from you. Thank you so much for supporting Bedtime Stories and CKCU-FM.
You can donate to Bedtime Stories by clicking on the Donate to This Team button on the program's Show Page.

Hi everyone, Steve will be hosting this evening's edition in my continued absence from the airwaves. Since first joining CKCU in 1982 I've always enjoyed inviting and receiving the involvement of listeners. Long time listeners may even remember a feature of one of my 2 shows in the 80s that sometimes included the opportunity for a listener to come in and play an hour of their favourite tunes. (If you could answer the simple teaser question correctly!) Back in October of 2020 when I was thinking about ideas for a new show, one of my first thoughts was to offer listeners the opportunity to recommend artists and tunes for upcoming shows. So, as I thank you for pledging to this and/or any other CKCU shows during the Funding Drive, I also thank everyone who has contributed recommendations and anecdotes over the first 11 months of Bedtime Stories, or who has contributed suggestions for tunes to play, or artists to feature, via the show's virtual "Listening Room" (i.e the interactive section of the playlist). I'd also like to thank Steve Kirkland, my old mate of very many moons, for stepping in to cover for me whilst I remain unable to present the show myself. I can't tell you how much I miss producing and presenting the show. Hopefully I'll be back before too long. Look after yourselves everyone Chris
