Bedtime Stories
Tuesday October 19th, 2021 with Guest Host Steve Kirkland
One, Two, Three Long Stories in Song

Shout out to Chris Lyne, regular host of this show, who reminded me a long while back how great the middle of our three acts on tonight's program is. The other two? The first track is one I first heard in high school and listened to a lot, as it romanticized the coming of age of a Scottish rock wannabe rock star in 1960s London (more stinging than swinging). The third came out only 18 months ago, but touches on that decade from his American perspective, and brings up the rear with many musical references, direct or cryptic.

Hello Steve, I’m enjoying the ‘stories; tonight. I’d never heard the first ‘story’ by Al Stewart—Year of the Cat and Time Passages were part of my own High School days.
