Aah, yes: Yes! In the morning!!! On CKCU!!! It grooves for me; I do get down! I once blew a 10000$ of speakers with that track, at full.volume; the church organ... oh well, faut que jeunesse se passe :)

Anne-Marie is programming the jukebox because I had an anxiety thing. Maybe I can rejoin you before 11:30 but frankly she is improving the product. Huge thanks to Anne-Marie for bailing me out.

Great job A-M

Bobby Calzone
Hey Sean! Bravo for freely and honestly talking about your anxiety! I'm BPD and I suffer from anxiety ,mood swings,.anger, depression etc. But CKCU picks me up! Anne-Marie is an angel!

I’m glad CKCU helps! Music is the best.

Music IS the best! Such as Dale Bozzio declares on Joe's Garage.

Fortunately I’ve never caused one here to have to be replaced ;).

HA! A-M "they must have had good drugs back in those days". I can verify this supposition to be true ;^)

Hi! Hah! I came in on the last 20 seconds of The Court of the Crimson King, and of course recognised it within, oh, two seconds...

sweet child in time! awesome tune. I was about 15 years old, in the country, listening to this on Montreal's CHOM FM, and this song BLEW ME AWAY!

11:13 AM, January 10th, 2025
Bobby Calzone
Uh-oh! Organ in that song as well will below speakers!!! Dont turn it up in the studio Sean amd Anne-Marie!

CHOM FM was the gateway drug for me as well

This Sweet Child of Mine, and jeffffff's comment, remind me of how, at certain times, CKCU is what CHOM, CHUM and, in Ottawa, CHEZ, were at some point in the 70s. When (somewhat) freeform radio was a thing -- a thing that was promptly killed by commercial interests and programming constraints. But good for us and CKCU!

11:21 AM, January 10th, 2025
Benoît
Do you get this version on CHEZ now? No you do not....

When I was young, if you wanted to drive your parents crazy you played "Sweet Child in TIme." It was that extended screaming.

11:23 AM, January 10th, 2025
Bobby Calzone
Wish I could have heard that screaming live. Closest ive been yo à deep lurple concert was stevie ray Vaughan at millerfest parc jarry Montréal. His dad had died, all his équipement had been stolons at jfk few in by helicopter... ..so loud... everyone on the Ground was a hells.angel... tabarnak!

Thank you for playing that masterpiece from King Crimson, AnneMarie. That first King Crimson lp was mind blowing for me. Played it to death. Followed everyone in the band for the rest of my life. Every track on that album still gives me shivers and leaves a chiselled smile upon my face!!!
