His 2016 book "Low End Theory" probes the much-mythologized field of bass and low-frequency sound. It begins in music but quickly moves far beyond, following vibratory phenomena across time, disciplines and disparate cultural spheres (including hauntings, laboratories, organ workshops, burial mounds, sound art, studios, dancefloors, infrasonic anomalies, and a global mystery called The Hum). https://carleton.ca/ssac/people/paul-jasen/ https://deeptime.net/ Florence-Delphine Roux is a digital and sound artist originally from Quebec City and based in Montreal. Her work explores the intersection of art, science, and technology, with a focus on the radio medium. Her creations take the form of listening experiences, immersive sound installations, performances, video art, and radio pieces. Roux will present her performance "Chronique d’Ether" where she captures, perturbs and reveals radiophonic and electromagnetic frequencies in an interactive dialogue between space, antennas and her body. https://www.florencedelphineroux.com/ https://montreal.mutek.org/en/artists/florence-delphine-roux https://florence-delphineroux.bandcamp.com/ (to embiggen the show icon, right-click and choose "Open image in new tab")

Robin Rimbaud from London UK uses found sounds, especially intercepted telephone calls, to create dark, atmospheric soundscapes. After an art installation, The News Of The World tried to get his recordings that might have celebrities in conversation, or famous people caught in compromising situation. Robin spoke with Marc Almond (Soft Cell) at the time and joked about conjuring fake calls so they could sell those and profit.

Absolute Value of Noise and Anna Friz - Solar Radio / Embodied Radio Device - Absolute Value of Noise - 2020 Canadian
Solar Radio is an automated radio station that is powered by the sun. It is a small artificial intelligence mechanism that wakes up at sunrise, mixes and broadcasts sound during the day, fades into the sunset, and goes back to sleep during the night. It watches the world through radio-based and bio-electric sensors - observing the state of the natural world and the sun. The AI tries to recreate the sounds of life in its immediate environment - imitating the sounds of insects, birds, frogs, magnetic phenomena, the wind moving through the trees, rain falling, and waves on the ocean.
