Nature Synth sounds like Dungeon Synth for hippies. Not necessarily a bad thing.

See, I been thinking for a while that all that rap & hip hop is really.... slam poetry.

Napalm Dan
Dissimulator! \\m//

Ben Armstrong (host)
Thanks Neil, it's impossible to keep up. The real challenge is identifying music that will be relevant in a decade or five.

Ben Armstrong (host)
Hey Napalm Dan, ha yeah "nature synth" it's an apt moniker. I like water sounds AND electronics. That Dissimulator kicks.

Ben Armstrong (host)
Benoît, you could say that rap & hip hop is slam poetry plus music. Thanks for joining this chance meeting...

That is the challenge indeed, in particular when you have truly eclectic taste in the wonderful world of music. So much to discover and listen to......and ultimately, so little time. You sir, are most def, a "voyager" in that realm !! And we drink from the well.

De rien!

Just tuned in late to hear tail end of a hero of mine PATTI SMITH! She'd make a good grandma! Sayin' ... have to look that one up ...

Neil & Drake, The Dancing Labrador
I think this is my fave of the 3 shows. Would have to listen to them all again but right not this puppy has me in a choke hold.

PeterB
YES. Hip-hop, rap, others, ARE slam poetry. And are also jazz, and beat(nik) poetry and visa-versa. Trance is banging sticks on logs. Are also baboons yell-arguing in a jungle. I donno, some kind of chaos theory math or string theory physics making them all part of a continuum or something. I do not really believe in "genres". Other than trying to compare things.

Ben Armstrong (host)
PeterB, yes check out Patti Smith's recent work with Soundwalk Collective. I could dedicate a show to that!
