Plunderphonics
Tuesday November 17th, 2020 with Chris Lyne
Truth and Temptation

This evening's show focuses on samples taken from - and covers of - recordings made by Motown's prized vocal group The Temptations. Yes, there will be a handful of tunes recorded in Detroit, Michigan, but the influence of the Temptations has spread far and wide, spanned over several decades. We'll hear interpretations by artists from California, Paris, London and Northants (UK), New York, Texas and Ontario. Tonight's tricky teaser: can you spot/hear the deliberate mistake I'll make somewhere in the show? *Chris is sitting in for the Plunderphonics show's main host Matt Brown

* During its real-time broadcast this edition of Plunderphonics was invaded midway through by the infamous "5th floor gremlins"; they took over the final third of the show with their own choice of music. But not all's lost: CKCU's "On Demand" facility very handily enables you to hear an unaffected version of the show: either from its beginning or you can scroll through to the point that it was interrupted (during the Mozesli tune). Thanks everyone , and apologies if you were listening live between 10-11 pm..
