Muckpaloo Ipeelie interviews Kevin Qamaniq-Mason about his project Sapujjijuit with Tungasuvvingat Inuit in Ottawa. The project is geared to increase the number of Inuit foster care families in Ottawa by providing training and support in a 6 week program which includes a stipend. Kevin discusses some of the past issues Inuit foster families have faced, and how Sapujjijuit programs offer to provide the necessary Inuit centered training required to become a foster parent for much needed Inuit children and youth.
