Good afternoon, you are on the air with CKCU and Lester Bear, this is the Bear NEcessities and we have some New Releases coming your way. I had the good fortune to be in Montreal Nov 25 and saw Godspeed You! Black Emporer live at the MTelus centre. It was a great show - if you don’t know this group - they play music that I can only describe as an electric orchestra - that weaves you in and out of a variety of emotional states - and how they can say so much without words. I think it was very much like an event and if you ever get the opportunity to see this group live - take it. On today’s show we will be featuring a number of new releases, coming up we have songs from the Chesterfield Kings, Sheepdogs, Elliot Brood, Beaches, Ombigizzi but first we will open up with the first song from the new Godspeed album…….i will let words from a review on Pitchfork intro this song……
