We start with David Cronenberg’s world of ‘Crash,’ which is truly a haunting score done by Howard Shore. Things then get funky with Giorgio Moroder’s soundtrack for the 1982 remake of ‘Cat People,’ which was directed by Paul Schrader. It gets funkier and modern with new(ish) material by writer/director/composer(!) John Carpenter. We go full circle with Ennio Morricone’s thumping yet spooky score for ‘The Thing.’
