I'm digging the tunes!!!

1:42 PM, January 19th, 2022
Renny G (host)
Yeah. I'm beginning to fear that my crushes can be fatal. I used to set up the stage at the Dominion. I made a tape of R&B and Soul divas when I found out the Cobras were playing there. We were listening to it when the band came in. Rachel Nagy stopped as soon as she walked in the door and said, "Cool! Etta James. I love Etta James!" My bitter heart went pitter pat and my deejay ego grew three sized that day.

I'm so glad I actually have some regular listeners. The loyal band of Rioteers.

Renny G (host)
Hey Hillbilly. Did you like the Daddy Long Legs track "Snagglepus"? The guys a pretty good harp player and the band is based around the harmonica as lead instrument.

Renny G (host)
And I've got some great punk coming up, Mike P. I think you'll like it. I hope you'll like it.

It was a breeding ground for some amazing Rock & Roll. MC5, the Stooges, The Gories, Suzi Quatro, Alice Cooper, etc.

1:57 PM, January 19th, 2022
Renny G (host)
Hey Frankie. Thanks for joining the musical mayhem.

2:10 PM, January 19th, 2022
Renny G (host)
At least he didn't blab on about his politics back in his early days. And who am I to judge, I'm playing a Gary Glitter song, the most despicable glam rocker of all time.

Glad Eric Clapton ain't from Motor City!

2:44 PM, January 19th, 2022
Renny G (host)
Eric Clapton would be fine in the Motor City if just stays on the right side of Ted Nugent. From what I've hear Ted only fires towards the left. Ha! Ha!

Fun show, Renny. Late joining (an hour in), but there's on-demand! (I like 'live' though, comes out of my sound system.)

Who'd a thunk that the Killer would be he last of the Fifties rock & rollers still standing?

3:17 PM, January 19th, 2022
Benoît
I like loud, but only to a point. Not a bad aspect, as my hearing still "fine" at 70+. I've never liked loud, ringing sound. Don't know how rock bands do it without earplugs, as used to be. Oh, they get tinnitus, you say...

3:17 PM, January 19th, 2022
Renny G (host)
I'm the same. I never blast music and I've still got pretty good hearing for an old fart. I can remember going to a punk concert an watching a guy grab the sides of a huge cabinet and stick his head in the cone. I'm sure he can't hear a thing today.

3:26 PM, January 19th, 2022

Great show Renny, thank you. Also thanks for typing out all the track info, date and record labels.

3:32 PM, January 19th, 2022
Renny G (host)
That was supposed to read "try not to get sick". Geez, this is how misinformation starts, bad typing.
