Hello First Crush listeners!
Today, we'll hear from Gatineau-based artist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, and DJ Yolande Laroche, who plays the next First Crush show this coming Sunday, May 18th, with Belgian duo Le Prince Harry.
With a classical background in clarinet and extensive experience as a music educator, Laroche brings a refined musicality to every project. They are a core member of the art-rock band Pony Girl, lead the avant-pop solo project Orchidae and the experimental sound art trio KAY-fayb. Laroche’s sound is as varied as it is captivating. Now producing and DJing under their own name, Laroche delivers energetic sets that blend pop elements, house and techno with dark edges.
