I'm excited welcome Dr. Jada Watson, Assistant Professor of Digital Humanities at the University of Ottawa, on First Crush this afternoon! Tune in for our interview on Dr. Watson’s new landmark study Share the Air, unveiled earlier this month at Canadian Music Week (CMW). Published through Dr. Watson's SongData project, Share the Air was conducted in collaboration with Eugénie Tessier in partnership with the National Arts Centre (NAC) and Women in Music Canada. Share the Air is a landmark, intersectional study of Canadian radio airplay examining how music by women, trans* and BIPOC artists has been underplayed across six Canadian commercial radio formats over the last decade.
