You Guest It

A beautiful spring day in Ottawa and most of Ontario. Hopefully you got out to enjoy fresh air, blue skies and warmth directly from the sun. Now... time to relax and enjoy great music and artists on After Hours. Special Guest in the house tonight is the "Jarobi" of Vintage Love. The Co-creator E.B.! Thanks for stopping by to say hello. Tonight we will be hearing Aretha Franklin by request, as well as Barbara Mason, 101 North, a double spin of Teddy Pendergrass to start off the show, The Chi-Lites, Billy Paul and more. Stay tuned for great music here on CKCU 93.1FM for your early Sunday morning fix of coolin' music. :-) I hope you enjoy the show and come back again for AH on Sunday mornings from midnight to 2am... of course preceded by Vintage Love from 10pm Sat. night to midnight. Enjoy the fantastic weather tomorrow and have a lovely week coming up. Thank you for making After Hours a part of your weekend. :-) O'shea Adagio After Hours "Playing With Those Memories Again" www.ckcufm.com

Alexa
Since Prince is throwing a party at Paisley Park tonight as I write this and I can't be there, how about something from his 39th album release (HitNRun Phase II)- "When She comes"... ??

Request!
Just like yours! If you'd only try singing sometimes, I'm sure by now, you'd have had a singing contract with Sony music!! But you don't listen to us!!

12:46 AM, April 17th, 2016
?
So did you remember what movie the song "Only you", was featured in?

1:15 AM, April 17th, 2016
O'shea Adagio (host)
No it was Teddy's You're My Latest, My Greatest, Inspiration" that I am wondering about."What movie was that featured on?

1:18 AM, April 17th, 2016
Hmmm!
That last song was so dramatic!:-) Cause if the guy is tired, he's just tired, don't you agree? What is wrong with Barbara Mason? She is so insensitive!:-)

Happy Spring!
The movie "On the Line", had some Teddy P songs, but I'm not sure if the one you played tonight was on it. Have a great weekend!

I am pretty sure that Teddy P. song plays in the movie "The Wood". Will have to pull it out next weekend and try to find it. Regardless... it is a great song. "The Wood" from 1999, starring Sean Nelson, Trent Cameron and Duane Finley as the young Mike, Roland and Slim. I loved the scenes throwing back to the wonder years in this movie. School, girls and growing up. Truly hilarious.

As a matter of fact, we played another big chune from that movie on tonight's show.... a request for "If This World Were Mine". Maybe I should've named this show The Wood. :-)
