Hiya! CKCU was off-air (for me) during Dylan Hunter's show. Broadcast I mean. It was the weirdest thing. He couldn't find anyone else to confirm it, but there was the signal: gone! Good now though.

In this case Candace, I think there was a problem at the source: a) my tuning needle was sjhowing a presence, but there was no sound. b) When it started coming back on, it did at first for an eight of a second. c) maybe half an hour later, it was back on, but went off again. d) later still, it was (yay) back on, but glitched repeatedly. e) finally, it was back on flawlessly, as now. Oh and f), I was getting 'all' other stations just fine. So I do think it was a CKCU-specific problem with transmitting your sound, somewhere between your studio and the broadcast antenna. In any case...

Making mistakes. I once got to reassure a performer, in a small venue, where a mistake or memory lapse had occurred. I had him notice that whereas that's often (always?) an ARRRRRRRGH for the performer, it makes them way more human in the audience's minds. Louder clapping. Just like after you made the audience sing a bit. A goof is actually a plus for the performer. Humanising.
