Hi Chris ! I thought that Elizabeth Cotten was borrowing a bit from the melody of "Railroad Bill"... Sounded great, going into Nick Drake, then Stereolab !

I think it was common practice to borrow melodies in folk music... Woody Guthrie did it and Bob Dylan followed suit... Railroad Bill is a traditional song, i think...
