It's A Long Drive For A Radio Station With History To Sing About

Today is a special episode, as the annual CKCU Funding Drive has officially begun--hooray! Join me as I surf through a brief history of the beloved campus community radio station and its relevance, including a reflection of my time spent volunteering and what it all means to me. Music includes an 80's track from the very artist who was first played over the CKCU waves, Joni Mitchell, as well as a track from each decade (70's to now) represented by Ottawa artists and some throwbacks to my own CKCU days gone by. This episode is bound to be filled with fantastic nostalgia for both volunteers and listeners, and I would love to hear your feedback in the comments to the right! ALSO: help keep the "permanent waves" flowing from all of the amazing CKCU programs by supporting community radio! Dial in at 613-520-3920 or go online at www.ckcufm.com! Remember: all donations are appreciated, regardless of the amount, and each and every one helps to keep CKCU and its many volunteers on the airwaves. :)
