Curve It Like The Capital

The world of socce--erm, football--is a tremendous and energetic part of our athletic culture. Not only is it a global sensation (particularly across the ocean), but it also has had an impact on many different aspects of said culture in almost every way possible. Although Canada does not have as rich of a soccer history as other countries, it still echoes its importance in small kicks. The waves we are riding in this episode of #PermanentWaves are all about how soccer as a sport and as an element of culture have been kicked around in the capital, the country, and beyond! Obviously the current FIFA situation might put a damper on how many people look at the sport, but as you're listening, try to remember this: we are kicking the soccer ball half pumped, not half deflated!
