| Lyrically, the trilogy covers hallucinogenic subjects like pothead pixies, octave doctors, and flying teacups, tracing the journey of Zero the Hero to discovery. But incorporating other philosophical ideas, apparently some from Buddhism, and wrapping them in the silliness, the real discovery is intended to be within. Or something like that :).
The lyrical journey is accompanied by some virtuoso performances from guitarist Steve Hillage, drummer Pierre Moerlen, woodwinds player Didier Malherbe, and synthesizer space cadet Tim Blake. |
