Welcome To My World
Tuesday March 10th, 2020 with Kim Kilpatrick and Shelley Ann Morris
Special Guest, Amanda Leduc, author of 'Disfigured: On Fairy Tales, Disability, and Making Space.'

Kim and Shelley will be joined on the phone by Amanda Leduc. Amanda has authored a book that takes a good look at how those with disabilities have been portrayed in fairy tales throughout the years. Amanda weaves her own story into the book, too as she also has a disability.

Do any of you have a favourite book that features character(s) who have disabilities? We would love to hear about them.

I didn't have good radio reception today but managed to hear most of your wonderful interview. Great conversation! I am thinking of Winnie the Pooh as I have read that the characters represent various mental health challenges. Interesting!
