Miranda will join us by phone all the way from Yellowknife. Miranda has an interesting story to tell. Miranda had three concussions, however, she is once again playing music. We will also be featuring some of her music. Something that you should know--Important meeting about public transportation, roadways and LRT: The Ottawa-Gatineau Chapter of the Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians (AEBC) is pleased to announce a meeting with the City of Ottawa for a question and answer session to discuss a number of issues focussed on the accessibility of public transit and roadways. The meeting is open to anyone with an interest in participating in discussions with City officials on issues related to public transportation, pedestrian safety, and other related topics. We strongly encourage all members of the blind, deaf-blind and partially sighted community in the National Capital Region to participate in this meeting. We need to impress on the City the importance of these issues to our community so that we can travel with maximum safety, independence and confidence. The meeting has been designed to ensure flexibility to accommodate in person representation and participation by conference call for people unable to attend in person. We would like to thank the City for their help and co-operation in organizing this important meeting, and for providing teleconference facilities to maximize the opportunity for people to participate.
