Tonight's show features musicians and bands native to or based in the Pacific Northwest(Oregon and Washington State)in the 60's and 70's.
We open with some big acts out of Oregon.Johnnie Ray was a huge star in the 50's.The Kingsmen's music was played at many a frat party in the early 60's,The Raiders sold a ton of records in the 60's and early 70's and Mark Lindsay (Raiders vocalist) had brief solo success in the early 70's.

Jimi Hendrix was born and raised in Seattle and after years of axe work on the Chitlin Circuit with acts like the Isley Brothers and Curtis Knight he found fame in England with his trio The Experience and superstardom(burning his guitar etc.) at The Monterey Pop Festival in 1967 before suffering an early death in September of 1970.
