Community Record Show takes - Kim Salmon & The Surrealists' 'Grand Unifying Theory' LP, Amon Duul II's 'Lemmingmania', and more!

This prep for this show was unusual - I had far too much new material to play this time around, thanks to the Community Record Show that happened last week. The Big Excitement was the new LP from Kim Salmon & The Surrealists (Grand Unifying Theory), so Feature that off the top... but, the question, as usual, is: 'how to mix, over 3 hours, by degrees, into the jazz of Pharoah Sanders at the end? Well, after the Surrealists, hit some heavy stoner rock (including the Heads/White Hills split LP, acquired at the record show), working back thru some early-70's prog/hard rock to the second feature: Amon Duul II's 1975 LP 'Lemmingmania'. Then off into a bit of folk to (playing one track from Bert Jansch - R.I.P.), some Indian/Folk/Jazz, then into... Pharoah! Made it! Remember, next Nightwatch is FUNDING DRIVE! Pop a few pfennigs into the old CKCU piggy bank for ol' Dave's sake, won'tcha?
