Only one 'feature' presented itself today - a look at local band 'The Rebel Wheel's output after seeing them open for Mahogany Frog at the Elmdale Tavern - how to frame them was the question. Starting in heavy-ish noise, and working thru a bit of proto-industrial to hit some mellow /melodic psychedelia seemed the way to go. Then, after a couple of tracks from each of Rebel Wheel's CDs, I was free to float off into the aether, hitting the Zappa-esque strangeness of Depravity brown, the psychedelia of Twink and the... Tom Waits... of Tom Waits before finishing in some folk-prog. I played Harmonium last week, so this week I check out the lengthy track from another Quebecois folk-prog band, Beau Dommage.
