Not much in the way of new purchases, so I assembled an old-school 'General Music' show... with the exception of finishing the show with the entire Thick As A Brick', as promised last week!
Decided to start in the 'nervous and scratchy' vein, specifically in the 1980's - who said it didn't have it's fair share of greatness?
Metrognome Nomeansno - Sex Mad
Flight A Certain Ratio - The Ballroom and The Graveyard
Disierta Membra The Crawling Chaos - The Gas Chair
(Once Again) Everything Starts To Spin Decade of Dreams - Parochial Zoo
Staying in the 'scratchy/nervous' vein, but I've decided to go a little more on the 'Artside', before we settle down into a little world music...
Odessa Aksak Maboul - Comp - Made To Measure, Vol. 1
The Barnes Exhibit Guh - We Are Sunburning
Suspenseful Chase Tuxedomoon - Comp - Made To Measure, Vol. 1
Family Doctoring African Head Charge - My Life In A Hole In The Ground
Ariwo Ginger Baker & Fela Kuti - Stradavarious
Schizoforest Love Suite Jefferson Airplane - After Bathing At Baxter's
Wow, long set! Finishing off with a track from Jefferson Airplane's 'After Bathing at Baxter's, an LP I'd not listened to seriously... but I thank an old friend (Dave Klis, by name) for giving me a proper introduction to it. Now onto a few more tacks from Ozric Tentacles' 'Pungent Effulgent' LP - we gave it short shrift last Nightwatch... so we will make up for it!
Ayurvedism Ozric Tentacles - Pungent Effulgent
Ayurvedism Ozric Tentacles - Pungent Effulgent
Time to get back to the 'general music'!
Satori Pt. III Flower Travellin' Band - S/T
Bananas Man - Maximum Darness
Singularite Miriodor - Live at Nearfest
L'inevitable Miriodor - Live at Nearfest
La Canzone Del Nostro Tempo Il Volo - S/T
Sonno Il Volo - S/T
Now, as promised from last week, the original Thick as a Brick! Have a great week, all!
Thick as a Brick Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick

Wow, Decade of Dreams, there's a blast from the past. Same with Metronome. Heady days, huh ? Also, nice call playing the original TAAB. One forgets how exciting the play is on that one. The complexities of 70's prog never sounded so energetic and vibrant.
