Hawkwind Light Orchestra! Amoeba Starfish Live!

A Time of Celebration for the Nightwatch - the release of a new Hawkwind LP! A live improv from Amoeba Starfish augmented by Lorne Thompson rounds out the show!!
Celebrate indeed! The newest Hawkwind LP is out... though it's the 'Hawkwind Light Orchestra' - 3 of the 5 members were involved in the LP. 2 live a bit far afield, so it was decided to release the material Dave Brock, Richard Chadwick and Niall Hone developed when the others could not make it.... and it's a worthy addition to the Hawkwind canon. I had wrestled with the idea of only playing selected tracks... but that's just silly, don't know what made that occur to me.

Hawkwind Light Orchestra - Stellar Variations New
We stay in the heavier, 'rock' oriented vein for a nonce, starting with a new (OK, formed ca. 1995 - 'new' compared to Hawkwind....) band that fly the space-rock-flag proudly...

The Majick Brothers - Live at The Witchwood
Now a quick dive into the weirdness of Jandek - this CD was damaged some years ago... and I have finally managed to get it repaird. In celebration, we'll hear Chris Corsano (drums) and Loren Connors (gtr) accompny The Representative from Corwood in a remarkably 'from-the-inside' look at depression on The 'Manhattan Tuesday (An Afternoon of Insensitivity) 2xCD. It's only an excerpt, tho' - The entire package is a single conceptually-linked piece, and worth hearing all the way through.
Part II
Jandek - Manhattan Tuesday (An Afternoon of Insensitivity)

Exploding Meet - Circus of Disharmony Canadian
Geraniums - Dewdrop mix by Phil Ogison
Transmission 13 - In Treatment Canadian New
And Finally, we finish up with a Live Improv from Toronto's Amoeba Starfish duo (augmented by Lorne Thompson)!
