Spotlight on Canadian band Dog Won't Bite
We started out the show with an extremely winded host from running across the campus when I realized the show was in 3 minutes (next time I'll just put on the song and try to talk later) and then heard some edgier stuff... industrial/electronica followed by the cover tune by Sarah Brightman of a Spanish hit from the 80s (a gypsy myth about the phases of the moon). From there, we heard Zipperbelly's questionable version of the song "Sunshine" (you know, "you are my sunshine, my only sunshing"? yup). There was a spotlight on Dog Won't Bite, a project put together by former Spoons bass player Sandy Horne and Leon Stevenson and then wrapped up with a wtf classic covered by Laika and The Cosmonauts and a lovely political song by the uncrushable punks: Chumbawamba.
