Spotlight on Athens, GA music scene alumni Matthew Sweet
Tried to roll a very diverse show today. Had a little Dave Stewart (Eurythmics)/Siobhan Fahey (Shakespeare's Sister/Banarama) tie in (they were married when both of those albums I played were made). Mixed things up with a couple of tracks from For The Kids Too... one of my favourite albums of all time that has a Matthew Sweet track on it, and I also played one of my favourite tracks of all time: Paper Moon's "Your Attitude Towards Cuttlefish"... so creative, whimsical, but somehow musically hits every note exactly where it needs to be.
