The Passionate Friar
Wednesday January 31st, 2018 with James Botte (aka Phelonius Friar)
Panel discussion with major Canadian business leaders on creating more diverse and inclusive workforces!

Panelists: Manjit Sharma, CFO of GE Canada Martine Irman, Vice Chair and Head of Global Enterprise Banking of TD Securities Yves Desjardins-Siciliano, President and CEO of Via Rail Paul Smith, Vice-President of Xerox Research Centre of Canada Recorded November 6, 2017 at Gender Summit 11 in Montreal, Quebec. In particular, the affirmations by Yves Desjardins-Siciliano were talked about for the rest of the summit and present one of the most creative solutions I have heard to making sure women have a shot at executive positions and that the best person (regardless of gender) is the one who is hired. Thanks to CPAC for providing me with permission to rebroadcast the audio of this amazing and important presentation! I was there in person for the conference and this panel discussion, and thought it was important enough for me to approach them for that permission. To watch the panel discussion (available in English, French, or without simultaneous translation) on CPAC, you can see it here: http://www.cpac.ca/en/programs/public-record/episodes/55086875.
