My 'hump day' is coming to a close which means so is my weekend (Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my weekend) back to work tomorrow. ;) Great to end it listening to awesome tunes with friends.

Hate to have to do this, but Tragically Hip's Gord Downie has died from inoperable brain cancer. Not really a fan of the band's music, but he was a major figure in the Canadian music scene.

Some of The Hips's songs are among those that had a huge impact on me (emotionally especially) and has that effect on me today still no matter how many times I have listened to them (others of theirs, not so much). Definitely, RIP Gord Downie.
