Dr. David W. O. Rogers is Distinguished Research Professor, and retired Canada Research Chair in Medical Physics at the Physics Department of Carleton University. He has published about 160 refereed journal papers, 9 full papers and 30 extended abstracts in conference proceedings, written 15 book chapters, edited two books, and produced over 100 formal internal reports. He has specialized in radiation dosimetry and protocols, treatment planning for external beam and brachytherapy radiotherapy for cancer, and "Monte Carlo" methods for simulation of electron and photon transport to better understand the effects of radiation treatments on both tumour and healthy tissue.
