Django Reinhardt is broadly accepted as one of the best guitarists to have ever lived. His, at the time, unique style, which he invented to compensate for an injury he sustained when he was younger, and his blending of American Jazz style with his family's Romani musical stylings created a style of music that took Paris by storm. The Hot Club of Paris has been an inspiration for generations of musicians, with the hot club and jazz manouche style being well represented in the French speaking world in particular.
