Lambert Hendricks And Ross were hugely popular during the five or so years they were together. A publicist or music writer came up with nicknames for them - Annie Ross was the "Queen of Jazz" and Jon Hendricks was the "James Joyce of Jive", while Dave Lambert got the less glamorous "World's Oldest Living Bebop Singer".
