Swing Is In The Air
Sunday April 1st, 2018 with Bernard Stepien
Alsatian vibraphonist Michel Hausser and accordionists Marcel Loeffler and Frederic Schlick

Alsace is a major European touristic destination with its good food and good wine but lesser known are its Jazz musicians. Today we will survey the music of vibraphonist Michel Hausser that grew up in the post war Be Bop craze in Paris until the rise of pop music that put even the great Duke Ellington off balance. Thus, he developed a full knowledge of Be Bop and carried it to this day. More recently, gypsy accordionists Marcel Loeffler and Frederic Schlick have a similar skill to the Be Bop language.
