The Second Annual Awards Show Show. The Grammy Awards are being presented tonight and it is quite unlikely that they will highlight any world music performers. Today, Alnoor Allidina presents Grammy-nominated world musicians in the first hour, and Juno-nominated world musicians in the final hour. In the middle hour, we take a look nominees for the French Victoires de la Musique awards. Lots of new artists to the program, some old favourites, and with any luck, some new favourites.
| Tonight marks the 54th edition of the Grammys. Last year they presented two world music categories: Best Contemporary and Best Traditional World Music Album. This year they have narrowed things down to one Best World Music Album category. The competition is fierce and features many favourites to this program. We begin with a look at last year's winners. |
