This afternoon we feature a tribute to “The Evil Genius of Highlife,” Dr, Victor Olaiya, who passed away at the age of 89 years on February 12, 2020 in Lagos, Nigeria. He has been described as a key kink between highlife and Afrobeat music and has a significant influence on Fela Kuti among others. Also expect many hot new releases, mainly from east and west Africa, South Asia and the Middle East.
