Globe Trotting with Exciting New Releases

Welcome to another addition of THIS ISLAND EARTH, CKCU's weekly program (Sunday 1-4 pm) dedicated to great music from all over the globe. This week we feature mainly new releases that have caught me ear and we'll start off with not a new release, but rather a classic from legendary percussionist Sabu Martinez, dedicated to Indigenous struggles around the world . From there we branch off far and wide and feature pieces from Brazil, Cuba, Belize, Colombia, Argentina, Finland, Austria, Korea, Mongolia, India, Turkey, Congo, Bosnia, Benin, Belgium, Georgia, Portugal, Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Mali, Guinea, Denmark, etc. Welcome you to drop me a line on the right hand side of the screen. Enjoy!

Got anything planned to inspire us to go slog piles of soggy snow? Music to wear waist-waders to? Nice late March weather, but YEESH, what a mess in our alley...

PeterB, the music will MELT your pile of slush as long as you crank it up to 11.
