Thanks Vincent. We had some family illness to deal with but it's much better now. We don't celebrate Christmas but do relax, cook, bake and eat a lot during this time period! :-) I hope you are having a fun holiday season.

Hey Dr. Ron, just adding to the joy. YES! Thank you for joining the fun. We do like to think T.I.E. does not suck too badly ;^) We are a collective of various hosts -- 4-6 of us, depending on counting skills -- so each show is different in nature. If you have any recorded music to pass along, things we should dig into, or any other comments, you can also reach us directly through email at thisislandearth@ckcufm.com. From my physical travels and surfing at least, CKCU is one of the most diverse community stations on the planet. PeterB, one of the other TIE hosts.

Dear Manmohan, After a hectic few days driving and visiting relatives it was sheer bliss to sit and watch the wild birds at my feeder while listening to your 2015 favourites. I particularly liked the loose jazz track with voice in Arabic early in the broadcast - which was that? And the track taht ended at 15:00 with a women's east European choir sound. Best wishes in the new year

Thanks so much, Tanya! I'm guessing that you are referring to Souad Massi, the Algerian vocalist. and the Taranta Project album. If you go back and listen on-demand you should be able to double check that those are the pieces that did it for you! Thanks for listening - I'm glad that the music was the soundtrack for birdwatching! I am a birder as well.
